  • Moving

    Please visit me :)

I am very sad to say goodbye to my XANGA blog.  I am still going to read the blogs that I follow closely but I just don't have time to keep 2 blogs.  I am moving to Blogger.

This way anyone can comment on my blogs, whether they have an account or not (sorry XANGA, I hate that about you...)

It is more customizable and FREE

So please visit my new blog Mama Dweeb.  It is going to be exactly what I did here - musings of motherhood, cloth diaper chatter and babywearing blab.

    Thank you all so much!!

  • Updated Mama Dweeb!

My new blog Mama Dweeb is updated with my new "hobby" - potty training Lizzie. What fun!

In other news, I am looking for a Mei Tai. I am getting 2 baby carriers from my mother in law for my birthday! I am getting a So Precious Baby ring sling for sure. Now I also want a Mei Tai so Josh can carry one of the children too, but I don't know which one - there are so many it is a bit overwhelming! I posted a question on Diaperswappers and I hope I get some replies.

If you wear your baby in a Mei Tai:

    Which one do you use?
    Where did you get it?
    Why do you like it?
    Has your husband worn it?

Thanks! I can't wait to get one!!

  • My new blog!

I am trying to lose my weight after this baby since my clothes don't fit and I'd rather lose weight than buy bigger clothes!

This is my new blog, I might just post the link here whenever I update it! It will cover diets, diapers and other SAHM ups and downs.

    Mama Dweeb
It's my husband's pet name for me, cute huh?

So check it out! My goal is 20 pounds by thanksgiving - I think I can!

  • Good, scary watch dog

Beware, big scary dog!  Ruthless, full of power and strength.  This dog will stand on our driveway and do the most terrible thing ever - BARK!  No, he doesn't show his teeth or jump, but he barks!  So if you are a Fed Ex lady and you have my $500 camera back from repair that I have been DYING to have back, please stay in your van and honk the horn out of fear.  Then, stay in your van and throw a "sorry we missed you" paper OUT THE WINDOW, all while I watch.  Don't worry, I'll run out in my bathrobe to save you from this terrible loving beast.

See, this loving "beast" (yes he is large, I'll give you that)  can appear daunting at first. But if you honk your horn he will think you are playing with him, and that will make him happy.  A happy dog will bark to say "oh yay!  Let's play!"

Oh well, it all ended well.  I got my camera back!  I ran out of the house in my bathrobe yelling at the dog to go inside.  He didn't want to - he wanted to play with this nice delivery lady. After all, she was going in and out of this huge van, playing "catch me!"  LOL  After I got him in the house, Lizzie was curious and opened the door, letting him back out.  As soon as she saw the dog entire the yard again she started to head for the van before giving me the camera, but I got the dog back in the house and got my package!

In her defense, he is large and we don't have a fenced in yard - it is 20 acres of open land. I shouldn't rag on her too much - she might have an actual fear of large dogs like a friend of mine does.  She said "your dog is all barky and snarly" poor rufus, he does not snarl and the only reason he barked is because she honked continuously.

Now that I have my camera, I'll update later with pics - David is growing BIG and FAST!
